Analysis of identified particle production can be a useful tool to measure the bulk properties of the medium produced in the heavy ion collisions at high energies. As a part of preparations for the start of NICA collider with MPD experiment designed for the studies of hot and dense nuclear matter we analyse MC model data on identified particle production at a set of different collision energies. The chemical and kinetic freeze-out parameters as a functions of collision energy and centrality should be calculated.
Tasks
Learn how to work with ROOT Tree objects and Fit procedure.
Apply different functional fits to identified particle spectra and find the best fit parameters.
Compare obtained parameters with model predictions and apply different corrections to the spectra according to the fit results.
